A lot of the time being around older men just gives me like, you know, flashbacks. It's just trauma that I didn't even knew I had until, you know, I've worked through a lot of things through therapy and stuff like that.

And you just don't even realize that going through something like that mold you to be how you are today. It was a very dark time in my life.

This is a letter, Senator Larn book just sent to Governor Ron DeSantis, quote, formally requesting him to direct the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to investigate.

The Senator writes the allegations related to serial sex predator Jeffrey Epstein assaulting young girls while serving on work release under the jurisdiction of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office are alarming.

If true, this shows yet another breakdown of the systems dealing with this pedophilia, abuser. We are calling for accountability on all fronts. And to that end, I am formally requesting you to direct the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to investigate this matter.

Contact five uncovered that while Jeffrey Epstein was on work release, he was allowed to get picked up by his private driver, sometimes in a limo and transported to his office in West Palm Beach.

The Sheriff's Office says the deputy was not with him during that transport. We also found through deputy logs that Epstein was taken to his home by deputies at least nine times and left in his home unsupervised for up to three hours sometimes.

This is Jim Clemente retired FBI profiler former New York City prosecutor and writer producer for CBS's criminal minds and with me today is Laura Richards criminal behavior and a former New Scotland yard and founder of Paladin National Stalking Advocacy Service and I'm Lisa Zambetti. I'm the casting director for CBS's criminal minds. I have a real interest in no crime and these minds that solve these crimes.

Well Laura, welcome back to the States. It's good to have you back in the US of A. Hope it was a very productive time while you were there.

Yeah, it was a productive time, lots of training of law enforcement and other professionals, which was great.

You know, I had some illness in my family as I know both of you know and I know a lot of our listeners know as well and I talked about it before on real crime profile.

My cousin sadly lost her battle with brain cancer and that has been a very upsetting and very difficult process for everybody. Her family, her husband Jay and her three-year-old little girl, Marcy.

I think last time when I spoke about it, Lisa and I were talking to Bonnie Hunt. We were covering the escape of Dan and Laura and actually we've had some good news.

So yeah, it's been devastating. There was a two-week rapid decline and so it's with heavy heart that I return and I know you as a cancer survivor and many people have told me their story since.

You know, Fat Cancer, it just seems to be everywhere and she was 28, Sophie and such a beautiful soul and obviously really hard when someone so young has their whole life ahead of them.

And so if a Marcy had daughter, so it's heavy heart stuff and I still want to record and it's still important what we do but all of us go through real life situations and it's very, very difficult time for my family and my thoughts are with all of them whilst I'm over here.

It's a time when everyone has to rally around and I know lots of our listeners who have written to me as well and shared their stories and sometimes you see the best of humanity when you're going through the world.

So I do just want to shout out to all of our listeners who've contacted me and offered their condolences and their thoughts and it's really been well received and it's really heartened me because there are so many good people out there and of course we talk about darkness a lot at the time.

But it's in these times that you realize how much good there is in the world. So I just want to thank everybody for your fabulous messages and I've been passing them on to my family as well.
