At the time, pill mills were a big deal.

You know, legitimate narcotics that are prescribed to people are being diverted for illicit use.

This is 2010.

And at that time, we were averaging seven deaths a day in the state of Florida.

I worked two really good cases on doctors. First doctor, we were doing

surveillance at the clinic. This car pulls in and these two guys get out. They weren't in there

very long, you know, maybe 30 minutes at the most. And when we stopped them, they have three,

they have prescriptions for 33 patients, none of which were there, obviously. It was just the two of them.

The typical script was oxies, Xanax, and ibuprofen. And obviously, the ibuprofen doesn't matter.

Xanax, there was no trafficking actually in Xanax, but the oxies, that's where you got.

That doctor ended up getting 25 years, minimum mandatory for trafficking.

I was done on purpose. I don't know if it wasn't. Maybe it's just probably dumb luck on my part. But welcome back to the second part of this week's episode with Rob Hernandez. We're talking about when, after he's been in the Navy, he's with the Orange County, Florida Sheriff's Department.

If you remember the end of yesterday's story, he had just been involved in an officer-in-fault shooting where he was forced to kill a suspect who was going to try to run over him with a car and was pulling the gun out to shoot him.

So in my book, that's a clean shoot.

But we were talking about Rob's feelings afterwards that he went home and slept with no problems at all.

If you listened to yesterday's episode, you heard my opinion on that, that I think the good Lord gave him the ability to deal with stuff like that.

Not everybody can't.

But you know what?

There's a lot of things that you deal with in your job that I can't deal with or Rob can't deal with. So that's what I say. I think God gives us gifts to do certain things and part of ours and service and being able to handle traumatic events and continue on with our lives. But you were talking to us there, Rob. You were getting ready to tell us, I ask you to to hold on and tell us today. I appreciate you doing that and not cuffing me out. We turned the camera off here. A whole 24 hours later. Yeah. That smells a little right. But we're okay. But let's just continue on with that. Now, you've already slept. You've gone and spoken to your brother-in-law. Have you talked to a psychologist yet?
