Hey everyone welcome back to the screenwriting life. I'm Meg Lafour.

And I'm Lorraine McKenna and today we're thrilled to be welcoming Nitsa

Wilon and Elizabeth Caden to the show. The Writers Lab, now in its 10th year, was founded by

Nitsa and Elizabeth and is the only program in the world devoted exclusively to

script development for female and non-binary writers over the age of 40.

The annual four-day U.S. based lab brings together selected writers and industry veterans

with the aim of elevating screenwriters in their prime through mentorship and advocacy.

The Writers Lab expanded to the UK and Europe in 2021 and will present its first lab in Canada

this December.

Alumni have been staffed in Writers's rooms, signed with managers and agents,

landed deals and moved their scripts into production.

Elizabeth previously worked as a theater and film critic internationally,

served as head of development at Tangerine Entertainment

and has mentored at Storystow Labs. In addition to her work advocating for women in film,

Nitsa has worked as an actor, journalist, writer, and magazine, and book editor.
