Welcome to Among the Lillies. This is a show for ladies who are tired of pretending and

are ready to be real. I want to tell you, my son is, he'll be 14 in just a couple days,

so say a prayer for him because it's almost his birthday. But he has a African ball python.

I'm not a huge snake fan. I never set out to own a snake, but he had a bet with his dad. If he

read the Lord of the Rings trilogy, that's what he got. He got a python that he really wanted.

So it stays in the cage most of the time and it's fine. I don't, I don't know, I'm not really,

my son likes him a lot and he enjoys taking him out and showing him to friends, but he's not a lot

to scare me with him or our sisters. His sisters are daughters. My husband may have said,

if you scare them, the head of the snake may be cut off. So animal rights people, if you're not,

he knows that he wouldn't actually harm his sisters or scare them. So there's no need to be worried

or writing mean things like, would you actually cut off the head of a snake? But our lady crushed

the head of a snake. So I feel like, is it really that big of a deal? No. So I want to tell you a

story about my son's snake. I went to the pet store. So apparently you're supposed to be able to

feed them like frozen mice, but in some mice, I'm like, bought a bag of them. It doesn't work.

This snake is very, he only wants a live mice. Okay. It is not something I'm like, oh, wow,

this is so fascinating. But it is actually really cool to watch the snake attack a mouse and eat it.

It's, I don't know, it's kind of mesmerizing. You don't want to look away. You're like, oh, my goodness,

oh, my goodness. And then he like eats it and you see like this lump in him. And anyhow, my son

need to get a snake or need to get a mouse to feed the snake. And there's not one in the town we

live in. There's one like half an hour away, a pet store that sells the live mice. But I was at,

I was out of town and I was like, oh, I'll just get one here. So I stopped at like a normal pet store.

And I asked when I walked in, there was a gentleman that created me at the door, you know,
