AFC South preseason watch list kicks off with the Houston Texans and C.J. Stroud

now last year, regular season, sophomore slump.

But it is a junior jump because of what we saw in the postseason last year,

Stroud was on fire.

Does that continue on to 2025?

What an odd off season for the Texans.

Because like you said, C.S.

There was a high point at the end.

There was some success.

There was glimpses of the rookie year, C.J. Stroud, that made us so excited about

the future for this team, even though he struggled and this offense struggled so

much as the season went on.

And then they basically, they let go of the offensive staff.

They trade Laramie Tunsell, their best offensive lineman.

And clearly the offensive line was the problem, or at least in their estimation it was,

the offensive line coach fired along with

Bobby Sloick, who was one of the hottest head coach candidates in the league a year ago.

He was part of the revelation, amazing rookie year story for C.J. Stroud, and now he is the

fall guy. So what do they do? They hire Nick Cayley.

Nick Cayley has some McVeigh in his bloodlines, has some McDaniels in his bloodlines,

and keeps Cole Popovich, who was the second, the assistant offensive line coach, to be the offensive line coach and what do they do they get
