This is Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. Now here's Matt Jones. Welcome everyone Kentucky Sports Radio Monday. March the 13th it is bracket day right here in Louisville, Kentucky and how can you not be excited?

The bracket is out. I actually think it's pretty good for Kentucky because we get a hope. So you got to be ready to go. It's Clarks, pump a chop, phone line 859-280-2287.

Shannon is at the studio. Ryan got the first little hint of the bracket yesterday didn't get it as early as I thought.

I really got it. Yeah, they did. You got delayed, but got it a handful of minutes. And we actually I saw it like by region. So so the bracket had already started when I saw that Kentucky was in Greensboro.

But 10 minutes early got to see Kentucky and Greensboro and I got to tell you I don't know what you think we're going to talk about the Vandy game. There's a ton of stuff to get to as a matter of fact, Shannon just close the phones will open them when we're ready to take.

Okay, because there's a lot to get to. I have to tell you though when I saw the bracket. I think that that is as good as Kentucky could hope for to play providence and we'll talk about what that means with Bryce Hopkins.

But then your three C to be Kansas State, your two C to be Marquette and the one C to be Purdue or even Tennessee or Duke. I'm not sure Kentucky could have drawn a better draw than they ended up getting.

I felt like he's on the lay big time. So why don't you just thinking about what he was about to say? I thought you were just keep going. Okay, go ahead. Yes.

I I felt like you know, especially losing two of their last three both losses to Vandy. I felt like we were going to maybe get the shaft a little bit. We're going to have a really hard bracket.

And so when I saw that I'm like, wow. This must have been drawn out even before we played Vanderbilt because it makes me wonder because the seven seed is like Texas A&M got a seven. Yes.

And you would think that if they put Texas A&M as a six and us as a seven. That might have made more sense to be honest with you couldn't believe it actually.

So I think Kentucky got as good as they could hope for what we lost to Vandy. I thought five was out the door. I think if we had beaten Vandy, we would have almost certainly been a five. It makes me wonder if maybe, you know, you look at the fives.

Duke would have been paired with Tennessee. We wouldn't have gotten that one. So it would either been St Mary's with Yukon Miami with Indiana State or San Diego State with Virginia.

You could make an argument that I'd rather play Kansas State than any of those teams. I wouldn't maybe I would like Virginia, but I wouldn't want to play Yukon or Indiana in the second round. So I think honestly,

I'm not sure you can complain at all. If you had told me before the bracket comes out, Matt, you have to be providence Kansas State, Marquette and Purdue to go to the final four.

I mean, I'm not saying they're going to win those games, but you would take that in a heartbeat.

There's so many times we do this show on Monday and we think there's a conspiracy against Kentucky. They'll always have a hard bracket or a hard road to go.
