Welcome to fantasy football today in five. I'm Chris Towers here with Dan Schneier to talk about some week 18 starts and sits for those of you who are still playing.

For those of you who are not, we're turning our attention towards 2022, at least with one eye over the last week or so.

I've been going through my top players for 2020 at the Fantasy Football today newsletter on fantasy football today the full

podcast we've been talking about it so dan we're going to start talking about the top five players

for 2022 that's way too early to know for sure a lot's going to change but we're going to be talking

about this on the podcast we're going to be talking about this on FFT on CBS Sports HQ. Who should be the number one pick in 2022 based on what we know right now? And no matter how early it is, it's always fun to talk about this kind of stuff. And it seems like it's always you and me, Chris. I don't know why. We're the contrarians. But I got to stick to my guns here.

And I would take Christian McCaffrey number one overall if I was drafting today. I've described

myself as injury agnostic. I have to stick to that. And when he's played, he's proven my mind

to be by far and away the best asset in fantasy football due to his receiving volume. I'll go with Taylor as the

one two. I think everybody else has him as the one one. I'll actually, yeah, no, I'm going to stick with Derek Henry as my one three. Again, injury agnostic, one one injury of a broken foot that should be healed. He's even going to play in the playoffs. And then Dalvin Cook will be my one four. And then my one five is Devante Adams and I'll say this because a lot of people were out on Travis Kelsey season.

I will once again be drafting a ton of Travis Kelsey. I'm not going to go as far as saying he's in my top five because I won't need to pick him in the top five. But if I'm picking on the back end, back end of a snake, I will take him on the turn. And I'll be happy. and I'm sure he's going to drop there after this quote unquote down season, which if you really look at it, especially factoring in his fantasy success in the playoffs and the fantasy playoffs, he was another value pick in my mind this year. Yeah, the thing with Travis Kelsey that's going to be tough is he is 33 next season. I have him as a late first round pick in my overall. and or was it just that the chief's offense which is weirdly not that good for like half the season

yeah will that be the case next season I think that's a big question for them I also have

christian mcalfrey number one overall like you I just I feel more confident in my ability to say that

Christian McCaffrey will be the best player in fantasy when healthy than I do in

my ability to say whether he's a bigger risk than Derek can like Jonathan

Taylor has basically no injury history dating I don't think he's missed a game

with injury dating back to the start of his college career so I feel pretty
