0:15.2	But first we got some news to get to and that begins with one co-wide Leonard returning to the LA
0:20.7	Clippers. Yeah, and we wondered what kind of contract Leonard was going to sign with the Clippers.
0:26.7	We talked about the possibility of him flexing his muscle by signing a one plus one despite being out for a
0:32.8	significant portion of the coming season. He did not in fact do that. Instead he signed a three plus one
0:37.2	three years and a fourth year player option with the LA Clippers. That means that he will be there for a
0:42.9	long time that also oh no, it's gonna say that yeah, that does sync up his timeline with Paul George,
0:48.0	which is notable that sort of similar in some respects to what the net skies did on a very different
0:53.2	timetable because the Clippers guys are just doing these contracts now. So I'd say that's a
0:58.8	positive resolution for the Clippers. They get more certainty for a quiet Leonard. Yeah, and I
1:03.0	had posited that potentially ed to be clear. I thought this had you know like a 20% chance of
1:08.6	being true that maybe Leonard wanted another one plus one and once he opted out and there were
1:13.4	any other teams meeting with him that the Clippers are like no, we're not gonna just pay you $40
1:17.7	million solely for the purpose of rehabbing and then you can leave us at the end of the year and
1:23.0	they wanted him to sign a longer deal. We'll never know surely exactly how it was that this went
1:28.6	out because there also are some reasons for Leonard to do this and we seen this with Jimmy Butler two
1:34.4	years ago. We saw it with Kevin Durant who just did this now that with the new extension rules as
1:41.2	long as you are on a three years or longer contract, you can extend after the two year anniversary of
1:48.1	signing the contract. And so what Kevin Durant did, he's already at the 10 plus year max as Kauai will
1:53.6	be now. So KD signed a three plus one and then after two years, he played a great year obviously
1:59.2	last year, at least in the playoffs, he's eligible to sign to tack another four years on to that. So
2:05.1	Kauai is in the exact same situation now really that KD was two years ago and so he's probably gonna
