Well, in the absence of Matt Rendell and Chris Borden, I'm going to try and host the podcast, which is an enormous honour and something I've been gearing up to for my entire broadcasting life.

As you can imagine, the ITV team are scattered, one of them up a mountain at the moment, Matt Rendell,

and one of them just putting the television program to bed, Chris Baldwin, to unpick what was an enormously interesting stage.

And not just because of the crash that marked it and will live long in the memory.

There's so much to discuss and so many interviews to hear from as well. But this was

the story of stage 12 of the Tour de France as they went from Montpellier to a shortened finish at

Chalet Renard on the slopes of Montvanteau. Navarro, after all that effort is cracked by Pals and

to get leads out Palles. It's the perfect situation.
