He’s fought for causes and candidates. And when his sister was struck with a devastating disease, he fought for her--and for others like her facing the same terrible disease. 1:00.0	I know some people might be a little bit surprised by this, but actually I think it makes a lot of sense.
1:05.0	You know, a growing number of Arizonans and people like me just don't feel like we fit neatly into one party's box or the other.
1:15.3	And so like many across the state and the nation, I've decided to leave that partisan process
1:21.5	and really just focus on the work that I think matters to Arizona into our country,
1:26.2	which is solving problems and
1:27.7	getting things done. Arizona Senator Kirsten Cinema is leaving the Democratic Party and declaring
1:35.0	herself an independent. Now, obviously, this is very big news, especially for the independent
1:42.7	movement. And it's not entirely unexpected.
1:46.8	I've been predicting what I call the great fragmentation of American politics for months now
1:52.2	on the show. People of all types are rejecting the two major parties. And cinema is just the
1:59.6	latest example. She's always been an opportunistic politician.
