It's TV news briefly for Friday 20th of September, everything in less than five minutes,

The Tesla semi-truck is impressing at the IAA Transportation Show in Hanover in Germany this week.

The project lead, Dan Priestley, talking about how the 100 units so far have done about 4.6 million miles, 7.4 million kilometers.

One of those tractor units, though, doing 250,000 miles. They're making them more efficient.

They're also working with their initial partner, PepsiCo, to get loads of feedback and things like the telematics and working out how logistics should be done when, where charging happens and

driver brakes as well. He said that the truck, the semi-truck, is ready for Europe. It has passed

all of the things it needs to do to get an introduction to the European market. Didn't

exactly say what they're not doing. I think some front suspension changes, some regent changes as well.

PepsiCo also did a bit of a keynote speech, if you like,

with the head of their program talking to Dan Priestley on the stage about how it's worked really

well for them saving money and the way that they operate the Tesla semis on local, regional,

long-distance routes, and they can replace diesel trucks quite easily with them.

Norway's big moments, which I got slightly wrong by a couple of days. I thought it happened last week, but then it

was confirmed it was actually this week. So I suffered some premature speculation on that one.

That was when EVs, pure EVs, overtook the amount of petrol cars on the road. So not new cars being sold, but the total out there.

It was actually this week.

It wasn't last week.

Got ahead of myself, but it happened in Norway.
