Today's story begins in Black Hawk.

Black Hawk is a gated community in Danville, California.

It sits at the foot of Mount Diablo,

which I later learned was almost renamed Mount Ronald Reagan.

I visited recently and met up with a real estate agent named Ju-ju Chala.

She's got a personalized license plate on her Audi Q7.

It says Ju-ju.

I like your license plate.

I asked her to show me around and we spent an afternoon driving slowly through the neighborhood.

I was mesmerized by the sprawling majestic lawns densely planted with palm trees and lavender.

That house shithead me up there.

As you see with the infinite DH pool, that's on the market for 18 million right now.

For the record, not every house in Black Hawk costs 18 million dollars.

But to give you a feel for the neighborhood, one of the driveways we passed had four cars in it,

a Mercedes, a Ferrari, a Land Rover, and an Escalade.

Ju-ju explained that the residents of Black Hawk take the beauty of their neighborhood very seriously.

Oh wow, that one's really beautiful.

This is very particular about his landscape.
