Irvine is a 66 square mile city in California, with a population over 250,000.

It is one of the nation's largest planned urban communities.

Irvine is known as the land of Oz because of its

manicured lawns and immaculate streets. Irvine has been voted the safest city in America,

multiple years in a row by the FBI. It's a community that has little poverty because of its

skilled and educated populace.

In this affluent city, the median household income is over 95,000, and the average home price is over 800,000.

There were two general types of moms who had kids at Plaza Vista School in Irvine, California.

There were the kinds of moms who wore $500 jeans and designer shoes.

Then there were the moms like Kelly Peters.

It wouldn't be unheard of for her to be running errands in a baby doll dress

with their John Lennon-style shades.

Kelly came from a middle-class family.

Her mom was a waitress and a horse trainer, while her dad was an insurance salesman
