Chapter 18. Second Chronicles Chapter 18. If you are new to our Wednesday night Bible study,

welcome. A special welcome to you, but you are going to need a Bible. We are studying the scriptures. You probably have one if

you didn't bring one on your phone. There are microscopic versions in the seats in front of you

that if you have the eyes, you'll be able to read them. If not, you have people next to you,

perhaps I would be willing to share, but we make it a practice

of studying the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, and book by book.

Going from Genesis to Revelation, we feel like, you know, it's like in college they made me

take courses.

I wouldn't have signed up for Second Chronicles in college,

but they made me take a lot of courses. This is God's curriculum. He knew what he was doing. He knew

that you need science and English and all sorts of subjects to balance out your life. And so we like

to get back to the source, and the source is the word of God.

God feeds his sheep through scripture. So we are studying in the Old Testament. After we're done

with Second Chronicles, we're going to be in the New Testament. I think the book of Philippians,

if I'm not mistaken. But right now we are in

the book of Second Chronicles chapter 18. Let's pray. Father, we pray for your grace to understand

and to learn. In understanding and learning, I pray that we would also then grow. We would grow in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

We are studying foundational books. These are the books of the Bible. This is the history of the children of Israel that Jesus read, Paul read, John read. And so, Father, this is part of

your word, and you said all scripture is given by inspiration of God. So help us to enjoy
