Ah, the week is upon us.

It is time as we move away from football.

Always a tinge of sadness in the air when you say goodbye to football for the time being.

At the same time, there's a little bit of relief,

a little bit of a renewed sense, as I talked about last week,

of another season, something else to look forward to, something else to

dive into, to get excited about.

Obviously, for me, this week represents turning the page to baseball, both college, Florida

State baseball, and professional baseball as we get started with pitchers and

catchers reporting this week. It's a reason to be giddy if you're, I suppose, an older man

like myself and you love baseball or a relatively new to getting older man like Tom Wang, he too is a lover of the baseball.

Many of you are.

It also marks what I think is just one of the most beautiful times a year in Tallahassee.

We get very fortunate as we move from February, late February, early March.

You get those highs of 71 like we have today with the sun out and a whole lot of reasons

to be playing golf, thinking about golf, watching baseball, attending baseball games,

throwing baseball, all the things, all the things.
