Mike, I was going to ask, you obviously made the transition in the off season to bring in some new coaches.

You brought gas here for this event. What was that process like?

I mean, how much vettings you have to do for Gus? I mean, when it came to bringing them aboard and when did those discussions maybe begin, I guess.

Yeah, you know, I mean, obviously, anytime you make change, you know, it's, you know,

it's a process of, you know, one making change because of, you know, whatever reason that you feel

it is, it's what's best for the program.

And either then the replacement, making sure that all things moving forward, that is something

that the players, coaches, the program as a whole is going to be able to benefit from and that you're going to see you know an immediate result as well as you know for what you believe that the long term of that those decisions are going to be and you know with gus it's when you talk about my coaching career it's basically it, I mean, it's a lifetime, you know, of, I guess, my second year of coaching is when I worked with him. And, you know, I love the man. I just, I mean, he was, I was a graduate assistant for him, really, didn't know him before that. But, you know, he gave me opportunity and, you know, even worked with him side by side for two years.

You know, I was in the lowest job responsibility, but, you know, I was able to earn his respect in that time.

And we had a lifetime of, you know, staying in touch, you know, cheering for each other.

You know, we would collaborate and visit in all seasons and all those things. But, you know, cheering for each other. You know, we would collaborate and visit in off-season and all those things. But, you know, for him and, you know,

being able to have some baseline conversations, I mean, it's the head coaching role. I mean,

there's a lot that comes to it. And I mean, he's done it at an elite level, you know,

throughout his career. And, you know, as college football continues to change, you know, this position can get

further or further away from, you know, some of the things that maybe we started off

being able to do or having time to do.

And, you know, that guy, he's a football coach.

And, you know, he loves calling offense.

He loves being able to pour into his players and, you know, be he loves calling offense he loves being able to to pour into to his

players and you know be able to kind of have that day-to-day you know interaction and you know it's what

you know the Lord blessed him he's one of the most innovative minds in the game you know and you're

able to provide an opportunity for him to come do what he loves somebody that I that I trust at an elite level and you know, and being able to provide an opportunity for him to come do what he loves, somebody that I trust at an elite level. And, you know, I mean, it's, you can feel his energy.
