Afternoon doubleheaders when I was a kid, being on WGN or WOR or any of the TBS like when those day game

double headers would happen and you'd come home from school as a kid I remember walking

through the door and throwing that on and being like oh they're in the sixth inning of game one

and when this one ends we're not waiting long let's get get it on. I don't, that is something my kids

will never know. And a lot of people listening to this show, if you're in your early, Tom, were they even

still doing true doubleheaders when you were a kid? Like, I mean what the way double headers used to be

played, the way the great ernie banks pointed out it's

a beautiful day let's play too yes did those exist yes it changed as i was getting into my middle

school teenage years if i'm remembering this correctly one of the first day night double headers

that i can remember being publicized made a ton of sense it was was a really cool exhibition of sorts, even though the games counted.

It was the Subway Series when they played two games and two parks in the same day.

And so they ended up busing the teams from the Bronx to Queens to play a day-night two-park doubleheader.

But I remember single admission doubleheaders.

Absolutely, I do.

Yeah, you're at the end. You're at the end of the era of people. There's nobody that's after you that does.
