Matt, how's it going?

Oh, it's going well.

I'm feeling strong today.

This is going to be a fair bout. What is the

odds against you at this point? Um, eight to three. That's very specific. I don't really know

how, I don't really have that works. This week on the show, it's Thanksgiving. And so while you

were pretending to hang out with family and really just

sneaking away to listen to us, of course, we are going to be talking about low men and yellow

coats. This is the second episode of our coverage of the short story. Today, we're going to be

talking about chapters five through eight of the novella in this week's reading. Ted and Bobby have a

slumber party and then head to the bar to gamble on some sports

games.

I'm sure Liz Garfield will love hearing about all of this.

Matt, what did you think of this week's reading?

Well, this book continues to be my favorite of the books that we've read so far in terms

of making me feel things and containing just all these beautiful

insights and just kind of flashes of humanity that pull you back to being, you know, that

age. Sure. And, you know, I'm just like, yeah, this is, this is what writing's all about, man.

Like, I love the adventure.
