This week, we are chatting about chapters 23 through 25 of insomnia.

Ralph and Lois head to the convention center, be a little bit racist, and then follow the trail of Atropos into his spooky tree layer.

Matt, what did you think of this week's reading?

I mean, this is kind of an unusual kind of between plot beats bit of reading, but definitely interesting and surprising in many ways.

I mean, we're going to get to it, but I would not have predicted that there would be a diversion from what I saw as the main sort of through line, which was stopping,

you know, stopping the convention center speech from happening to go into an evil,

spooky ogrew tree to try to get the one ring.

Yeah.

I do think that's what's most interesting about this book when you really break down the plot beats is it definitely, it's constantly changing what it is.

And it always kind of surprises you.

Because I agree, like if you look at the way last week's reading

ended up I don't think you ever thought we'd end where we end this week but it's just like

the like that's that's that's I mean that's that's king to me in a lot of ways that he's just like

here's what we're going to do and this this is what feels like it's right for the next part
