0:21.4	And let's talk about social security and the context of this.
0:24.8	And it's been much requested by many of you is the absolute apoplexy from Republicans
0:31.4	at the mere suggestion that over the last few years they've hinted at and even sometimes
0:35.8	overtly said, maybe we should cut social security.
0:39.5	Maybe the cuts would be lower benefits.
0:41.4	Maybe the cuts would be you have to work longer, meaning raise the retirement age or whatever
0:45.1	the case may be.
0:46.4	But when Joe Biden said at his state of the union address a couple of weeks ago, some
0:50.7	of these Republicans want to cut social security, they went crazy and started saying Joe Biden
0:57.3	is a liar and we would never do that and on and on and on.
1:01.4	And then yesterday on CNBC, incomes, former vice president Mike Pence and he says, oh,
1:10.2	we should definitely put on the table that we might cut social security and Medicare.
1:14.7	They've spent weeks saying we would never do that.
1:17.9	Stop accusing us of maybe wanting to be open to considering the possibility of ever cutting
1:24.7	social security and Medicare.
1:26.5	And then here's Mike Pence saying, oh, yeah, yeah, no, like we should definitely think
1:29.5	of that because of the debt is that well, I respect the speaker's commitment to take
1:34.8	social security and Medicare off the table for the debt ceiling negotiations.
1:40.4	We've got to put them on the table in the long term.
1:42.9	And right now, President Biden's policy is insolvency.
1:47.4	I mean, we're looking at a debt crisis in this country over the next 25 years that is
