Bottom line Russia wanted to reach out to bricks and to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to make sure that they have a market to replace the West and to make sure that they have intermediaries for the Western market.

One of the key elements in the foreign policy agenda when it comes to economic diplomacy for Russia is to support that parallel imports and to support intermediaries in getting to the Western market.
