I'm John Bachelors with my colleague Gregory Coppley of Defense and Foreign Affairs,

the Nuclear Age 2.0.

We moved from nuclear weapons which Gregory for some years now has guided me to understand

their politicians weapons, their terror weapons, their rhetoric.

Using them does not advance the case of winning the war nor even especially defending your sovereignty.

It does, however, frighten the public.

Now we go to weapons systems that are relatively new on the battlefield, at least the Ukraine Wars, made them fresh again. We generally

call them drones, but they're all kinds of vehicles and one of them can be hypersonic.

And how does this change war aims Gregory?

Well it enables the new weapons enable the achievement of strategic

domination without necessarily going to nuclear weapons because they are much more precise.

If we look at what the media likes to call drones, unmanned aerial vehicles for the most part,

or unmanned combat aerial vehicles for the most part or unmanned combat aerial vehicles if they've got

weapons on them is that they can be swarmed into an opponent's territory and swarming weapons are as much a part of this as the actual

drone or UAV technology itself and so that you know you can you can start targeting infantry formations you can

certainly target artillery and armored formations and the like and take out things

with very low-cost weapons. And a lot of these

drones are in fact one way or suicide drones. They are literally called loitering munitions.

They have the ability to go up and hang around until you guide them onto a target or they can

self-select targets and the like, and they can do damage just by waiting for the opportunity to

strike. Now we're starting to see countermeasures being developed against some of the lower level atmosphericly

low altitude drones so that they can be easily targeted by either energy weapons lasers or hard kill kinetic weapons.
