| 1:01.7 | co-drafted model legislation, the General Education Act, and the core idea there is that |
| 1:08.5 | public universities should create special schools of general education, |
| 1:15.5 | what we would call specializing in liberal education. |
| 1:18.8 | You could earn a degree in liberal education, but also these schools will provide a basic |
| 1:24.5 | mandatory curriculum of, let's say, 12 courses over the course of, |
| 1:31.5 | over the period of four years, a kind of core curriculum. |
| 1:36.3 | And actually, one state has adopted this proposal, Utah, other states may. |
| 1:41.6 | And Kurtz has suggested that this could be a school of general education, |
| 1:46.9 | could be a, could be the core of a compromise that Harvard and the Trump administration would agree to. |
