0:18.0	among some of the people who write to criticize me from the left. Now as you all not I'm sure know by now. 90% of the
0:28.0	criticism I receive is from the right. Why? Well because this is a left-wing show. This is a progressive
0:33.8	show. I am a progressive social Democrat in the mold of Northern Europe and the
0:39.4	Swedish Democratic Party, etc.
0:43.5	That's why most of the criticism I get is from the right.
0:47.6	But there's something particular
0:50.0	about the criticism I'm receiving from the left,
0:52.4	especially recently that I want. about the
0:53.3	criticism I'm receiving from the left especially recently that I want to tell you about to see where the core of my audience is on this issue
1:00.6	and what I'm talking about is the following.
1:04.0	There's a notion that I'm seeing increasingly prevalent in the criticism I get from the left.
1:11.0	That is, I am not left enough and implicit in that is that the goal, the ideal, would be
1:20.3	to be as left as humanly possible.
1:23.0	In other words, the litmus test or the standard
1:27.4	is that the further left you are,
1:30.4	the more virtuous you are, the more
1:34.0	deserving of support you are,
1:36.0	the more legitimate you are in the realm of politics
1:41.0	and social justice.
1:42.0	And the context, of course is people writing to me and saying David you're not really on
1:49.1	the left because you're not as left as this person or that person or whatever the case may be.
