This week on the show, we continue to make our way through Stephen King's insomnia

as we discuss chapters six and seven of the novel.

Time moves on and Ralph's insomnia continues to get worse and the auras continue to show up.

On a routine trip to the library, Ralph is almost stabbed to death by an agent of Ed Deep

Now and a visit from the poetry reading, Elder Dor, convinces him to cancel his appointment

with Joe's acupuncture guy.

It's looking like, at least for the time being, the insomnia in insomnia will continue.

Matt, what did you think of this week's reading?

You know, plot is escalating.

I think some of the themes are coming into even sharper relief, although I think we've already identified most of them at this point.

I'm really into this book.

It's funny, it's sort of funny how into this book I am considering that it's a it's it's so mundane relative to some of the like wild shit that we read for, you know, book club and other dark tower stuff. It's, but I just I think it's just the characters. I think I'm just really into Ralph and what's going on with Ralph. And I want, and I think a lot of it is,

like, I want Ralph to be okay. And I'm worried about him. And that's why I turn the page fundamentally.

Yeah. I think you're on to something there. This is kind of exactly why at the beginning of this book,

I said, Insomnia, not my favorite book King has written, but Ralph, definitely one of my favorite King characters. I think he's wonderful,
