The TCL Broadcast Studio is lonely and dark right now because Mackie and Long are live from the Venture Bank, Minnesota Golf Show.

That's right. It's lonely and dark there. It is the opposite of Lonely and Dark here this weekend.

We get things rolling with the opening bell.

When I came to Minnesota, my career was kind of hanging in balance at the time.

I was kind of at a fork in the road.

And it wasn't to me because of my talent.

I thought I just needed somebody to believe in me.

And Flip did that. He believed in me.

And I didn't come here as a starter.

I was coming off of the bench at the time.

And he believed in me.

And he gave me an opportunity so much so that when I left here

and went to Detroit, I begged Joe Dumars to bring him to Detroit because I loved him so much.

In 2013, I received an exceptional phone call from Flip. He indicated that he wanted some time

and to come down to Mancato and he wanted to visit.

At that meeting, we both talked about the future of the Timberwolves and him being part of the leadership of that into the future.

It was at that meeting in 2013 that we made a decision that Flip and I would work together forever to improve this organization.

That's why it's so important as we put this banner up tonight, that we keep that memory of not only what Flip has done in the past,

but that he is part of the future. And I want to recognize that friendship and that leadership and loyalty that he had to this organization.
