Summary

This week, Season Two of Kingslingers begins with our deep dive into King's 'Salem's Lot. We chat about the prologue through Chapter 2. We talk about nostalgia, King's ability to exposit without making it boring, and the ominous dread of the novel's opening pages.

Discussion Question: What makes a good prologue? What is your favorite prologue that successfully uses these elements?

Next week we'll be reading and discussing Chapter 3: The Lot (I)

all of his books feel the same.

1:32.8

But this is, you know, I had a very strong and very specific vibe.

1:37.3

1:46.1

think we'll be stopping this week either. I think that's good a word we're going to be using

1:49.8

through the next couple months actually. Can't wait. Without further ado, let's get into Salem's
