you in terms of being a fan a thousand hours outside is I think kind of epitomizes

what childhood should be and actually I think adults should take advantage of getting

outside and enjoying as much time there as possible and so that's one of the things

that I love doing with our education model is get kids out in the world.

And I think this is one of the biggest problems is that childhood has just gotten sucked up by so many adult-directed things.

The time piece is really the biggest piece.

I talked to this man, Dr. Peter Gray, and he talks about how school used to be way shorter.

It was hours shorter. Recess was a third of the day. So if it was a six-hour school day, two of the hours was recess.
