Hi and welcome to the truth seekers podcast today's episode is part of our

praying the Bible series each month we read a passage from the Bible and learn how to

pray it back to God. Have you ever struggled with knowing what to say to God when you

pray? Sometimes we don't always know how to pray or what to pray when we're talking to

God. The good news is that God has given us the Bible and the Bible is filled with all kinds of truths that we can pray back to God.

When we are at a loss and don't know how or what to pray, we can turn to the Bible to give us truths that we can stand on and believe in

when we pray to God. Today we are going to continue a series we started

where we are reading through seven different statements that Jesus made about himself.

When Jesus was here on earth, he gave us pictures to help us understand what he is like.

Since Jesus is God's son, that means that Jesus is God. It can be hard for our minds to grasp

or understand what God is like since we cannot see Him. So Jesus gave us seven illustrations to help us know what he is like. We call these I am

statements. Can you say I am? We call them I am statements because that's how Jesus started each statement by saying I am.

Jesus gave us seven I am so that we would know exactly what he is.

Jesus wants all who follow him to know him and know his goodness.

My prayers that as we walk through these passages,

we will come to understand and know Jesus better.

In our last praying the Bible episodes, we've learned five of the seven I.

I am statements already.
