And spreads the word about EVs. We'll start with news about Volkswagen Group's first fully owned

battery plant in China. Volkswagen Anoui components, VWAC, as I'll refer to them, has

commenced producing high voltage battery packs in China, essential for their MAB platform

cars over there. The battery system has all the cell modules, the cell management controllers,

the battery management systems, the BMSs, etc. Ninety-six percent of those components all sourced

locally, which of course reduces price, a crucial thing for anyone making these vehicles in China.

But it does mean that that knowledge gained, hopefully could reduce the price for everyone

around the world at some point

as prices come down for batteries. More on that a little bit later. VWAC is located next door

to Volkswagen Anui, their first majority-owned venture dedicated to EV sales. The plant was

recorded, constructed in a record 12 months, much like Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory, famously to the day,

started making things 12 months after they put the first piles in the ground. They call it
