Two games to go, and the Pirates ties with the St. Louis Cardinals for first place in the National League East.

I mentioned too that the Western Division, Los Angeles, a two-game leadover Cincinnati.

In American League this afternoon, Baltimore clinched the tie for the Eastern Division title.

They beat Detroit, the Tigers I I don't think, of a

ball ball a game, and some long period of time, and Baltimore has taken advantage of them

consistently here the last couple of weeks. They picked up their 90th win this afternoon.

They won 7 to 6 over Detroit, and they have clinched now a tie. The Yankees just have to hope that possibly

Baltimore can lose a game, their final game of the season tomorrow. The Yankees are playing

tonight in Milwaukee and they have to win both of theirs and hope somehow that Baltimore

will lose one. They're in the same situation that the Cincinnati Reds are in the Western

Division of the National League.

Dodgers were beaten last night, 4-1 by Larry Dirker.

They're sending their ace tonight, Don Sutton,

against, I think Dave Roberts will be starting for the Houston Astor.

We'll keep you up to date on those two ball games, the Yankees, Milwaukee ballgame, the Dodgers, and Houston, and also the other ballgame, of course, up in Montreal.

Reds are playing at Atlanta tonight, too, and we'll also keep you up to date on that one.
