It looked like it would be an easy series for Baltimore, but then when they moved to Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh got hot.

before a sellout crowd at Memorial Stadium defeating the pirates 11 to three but it was

different as Lou just mentioned it when they got to Pittsburgh. It was Steve Blas who

Throled the Orioles allowed them just one run on three hits and the pirates got by their first win of the series winning it five to one.

That seemed to give a momentum, Vince, as they won the next one, next game, four to three.

And then shutting out Baltimore in the fifth game, four to nothing, and now we're moving along to the six game

which moves right back to Baltimore. Yeah and a good friend of yours of mine

Nellie Briels who's in the broadcasting business now, authored that shot out that Pittsburgh 4 to nothing

victory, a two hitter for Briles, but some great names in there.

I imagine if, if Gene Clines is around and listening to this one it ought to bring back some pretty good memories for him.

he had Stargill and as you mentioned clients and also

Al Oliver who was still active with the Rangers played center field also in that

ballgame and the Seguian was the catcher for Pittsburgh.

And he's on the next three and so now they're back in Baltimore and it's due or die for the Orioles.
