Yes sir, we're here in Yankee Stadium

and in a few moments we'll be all sent to bring you the big third game. We say the big one because both managers it was interesting to note it's a pivotal game.

As far as the pitching is concerned, Alvin Dark says we're not hurting too badly because

it'll be Juan Marichol.

For the Yankees, it would be Whitey Ford and would be tomorrow.

But the big game today, that's the wonderful determine it just who will be used.

Billy Pierce will be pitching for the San Francisco Giants this afternoon,

and for the Yankees, it'll be Bill Stafford. Pierce has done a tremendous job for these giants.

We followed them coming down that stretch in the National League race and in the playoffs.

Pierce has been a big pleasant surprise with his fastball more than anything else

The playoffs he was not afraid to challenge the doctor hitters.

He appears has been known to have a good slider and a good curve ball,

but it was the fastball he kept down that seemed to keep the doctor hitters offstride.
