Hello and welcome back to Cult Leader. I'm your Cult Leader, Spencer Henry, and this is a little leader where I read the stories that you send to me.

And we also get to talk about whatever we want. Let me start out by saying happy birthday to Obituary.

It's our one year anniversary since we launched Obituary, initially on Patreon, and now it's been out as its own show for about six months now.

So very exciting. We're proud of her. We love to see her grow. There might be a little more background noise today. So if you hear the sound sounds a little different.

I'm sitting in my kitchen instead of my office because you know, I was sitting here. I have all my drinks out. I got my water, got my ice coffee.

We got it all out and I don't want to move. So I said, hey, this is the setup for today. And you know, feels good. When you work from home, it feels good to switch things up every now and again.

We got to keep it fresh. Everybody has been telling me. And maybe you guys have watched this about this show called Archive81.

I think it's on Netflix. That's my plan for the weekend is to binge that or watch that. I don't even actually know what it is, but everyone's been messaging me about it and tagging me in stories telling me to watch it.

So I definitely want to watch that this weekend. Also, I'm just trying to get the house in order. I have my first guest coming. My sister is coming next weekend.

And I am so excited. So I'm trying to get everything in order. And who knows? Maybe she'll appear on an episode of Cult Leader. You'll just have to wait and see. Only time will tell what else.

Oh, I watched that new Playboy Docky series thing on Hulu. And it was, it was wild. What kind of a lot of it I had heard about when I read Holly Madison's memoir down the rabbit hole.

But some of the new information was just alarming. I've always gotten Coltie vibes from Playboy and the Playboy Mansion itself. And so it really just cemented a lot of things for me.

But a lot of that was already cemented in the book. I mean, there's so much wild shit that has gone down in that house throughout the decades. There were so many wild rules that the playmates had to follow.

Would love to do an episode on it one day. But I guess we got to just move on. Move into business. So if you're new or it's your first time listening to a little leader or you haven't listened to a little leader yet this year as of 2022.

I have started out each episode by talking about a different topic. And this week's was actually prompted by a fucking TikTok. If you can believe it. You have you guys heard of Weston Caleb old news. I know.

Okay, this happened probably two weeks ago, which in the internet world means that it happened a decade ago. We'll get into the specifics of what happened in a minute.

But essentially he's this guy from New York who I guess ghosted a bunch of girls and it spiraled into this whole trending saga of people posting TikToks like, oh my god, I matched with him on hinge. Or oh my god, he walked on the street for me once.

Yada, yada, yada. You guys know how it goes at this point. The internet is a fucking everyone's doing something. Well, it's spent to where are you going with this. Okay, so the point is a lot of the videos made about Caleb said that he was quote unquote love bombing them.

And what I really want to talk about because love bombing is a term that is traditionally tied to cults. First let's talk about Caleb and what this the whole situation at hand.

This is from an article in the Rolling Stone. It says if you spent even five minutes on TikTok this week, you may have seen at least one video referencing a new for you page villain West Elm Caleb.

According to the trending clips Caleb is a 25 year old furniture designer for West Elm. The white conventionally attractive six four designers seem to do pretty well on dating apps where he'd meet women.
