I'm here now from the youth municipal stadium here on the shores of Lake Erie in Cleveland, Ohio.

From where today, the mutual broadcasting person is pleased to bring you the All-Star Games.

Well, it certainly is a wonderful sight here in Cleveland today, in this youth stadium with feet between 80 and 85,000 people.

We'll leave it up here now, just back at a home plate up in the upper deck in this stadium,

looking down on the field, as the players of the American League and the players of the National League

are getting ready for the third edition of one of baseball's greatest classic, the All-Star Games.

All morning long, urban lines outside the stadium at the entranceway, waiting for the

unreserved seats to be put on sale.

We came into the stadium this morning around 9.30,

and at that time there were several thousand people waiting

out there outside the bleachers,

just waiting for the gates to open up.

And now exactly one half hour before game time,

I say there are in the neighborhood of between 55,000 and 65,000 people already on hand.

The expected cloud today of around 80 or 85,000 people.

I wouldn't be at all surprised from all reports, but what the stadium today will be absolutely jammed, and that is the capacity

of somewhere around 85,000 to 88,000 people. Right now the National League team is putting

on a workout down here on the field. You see a lot of familiar faces. There's Bill Terry,

working out at first base. Archie Vaughan, the famous shortstop of the Pittsburgh Pirates, is over its short. Here at third base, one of the greatest players in the game today, Tebow Martin, the Wild Horse of the old days, who's been a scar of many important games, World Series, and regular scheduled games of the St. Louis-Ladden. They're at second base, one of the finest second baseman in baseball today. Billy Herman of the Chicago Club.

We're going to make the fourth member of the starting in-field of the National League team today.

Behind the place will be the manager of the Philadelphia entry of the National League.
