I think people inadvertently do it based on just human behaviors because they'll lie.

So a form of gaslighting would be misrepresenting the past and pretending like you remembered

it wrong.

or the, I didn't understand the circumstance correctly.

So, for instance, in this example would be the other day, you and I were doing something.

Well, we'll just say, oh, the other night when we were all together in New Year's Eve,

do you remember when you tried to kiss me at midnight?

And you're like, I don't remember that.
