And I'm Lauren McKenna. And today we're thrilled to be welcoming Navid Mackelharji on to our show.

Navid has worked as a studio executive and producer for over two decades.

As an executive at Joe Ross Revolution Studios,

Navid worked on movies like White Chicks and Peter Pan,

eventually moving to Joel Silver's Silver Pictures, where he oversaw development for films

like The Forbidden Planet, Logan's Run, and He-Man, produced by Guy Ritchie's Rock and Rolla and eventually moved to New Regency as an

exec.

Now Navid runs his own production and consulting Shingle Vandal Entertainment where he has worked

on features and TV including Jonathan Masstow's The Hunter's Prayer and Amazon's Modern Love.

Navid is a professor at USC and we're going to talk today about his producing class.

Yeah.

Yes, because it's a favorite at USC is what we hear.
