On September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 Americans were killed on US soil when four hijacked

planes crashed, two of them into New York City's Twin Towers, one into the

Pentagon, and the fourth crashed in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

It's still the single deadliest terror attack in human history and is the single
