Yesterday was Swami Subodhanandhi's birthday.

Sir Ramakrishna had 16 monastic disciples.

Among them, Swami Subudanadhi was one of them.

He was the youngest.

So they used to call him Koka, which means little boy.

Like the Holy Mother called Niverita K, which means a little girl, yes.

It's just a male counterpart of Cookie, cookie.

There are so many wonderful stories about him.

He loved tea.

And one Swami Vivekananda said, you ask for a boon, anything.

And he said that he thought about it.

And then he said, all right, grant me this boon that I shall never miss my daily tea,

cup of tea, as long as I live.

And he never did.

In Belur Mutt, when he was in later part of his life in the main monastery in Belur Mutt,

in those days there were steamers on the Ganges and you could actually buy season tickets

for the steamers.

So somebody bought him a season ticket and he loved the steamer.

So early in the morning when the first steamer service would start, he would get on board.

And he would sail up and down the river all day long, just getting down in time to have his tea and then get back on a...

It was very childlike.
