Hey everybody, welcome back to another bald move pulp podcast. We are wrapping up the 1899

season one series on Netflix today. As promised, we've got a feedback roundup and we got some final

thoughts on the series, some thoughts on some hot theories. Jim, I guess I'll kick it off to you

first. Do you have anything that you want to share with the group? I do. I do. I want to first say

I'm in no way prepared for this podcast, which is to say that as much reading as I could until

my brain melted out of my ears and I know no amount of reading would have prepared me for this

podcast anyway. Well, I mean, that's the thing is like if we had had done all of our homework for

season one of dark, for example, and done the definitive podcast, we couldn't have our wildest

dreams guest where that thing went by season three. So we'd be totally right. But you know,

it's the game we play. That's fun. Well, I like puzzles. So ring your melted brain puddle out

and do the microphone. Oh, yeah, before we get into that, I wanted to talk about like, you know,

how I guess people who watch this probably have the question like how well did it do for Netflix?

Are we going to be giving a season two? Yeah, yeah, it did pretty well. Apparently there were over 80

million hours of watch time. And that said it firmly at number two on the Netflix top 10 list,

they do, they do a top 10 list each week based on watch time. And it was number two behind the

crown season five. I mean, it's for sweet things for them. I understand. Oh, yeah, the crown's

very well received. The second week, it was number two behind Wednesday, which is the new Adam's

family spin-off thing. Right. But it was way behind Wednesday. Wednesday was absolutely crushing.

It had like 350 million hours of view time, whereas yeah, dark at about 80 million. So I was not

interested in the Wednesday project at all. So yeah, I'm not super interested either. It's

it's a teen drama set, you know, in the Adam's family universe with Wednesday at the at the

center of it. But yeah, it's by all accounts doing very well. I mean, number two
