Here we go. So, Welcome back to the Quarter of the day show. I'm your host Sean Croixen and

Sean Croixen. We got Reverend Ike on this show today. I remember back in the day when I was broke I was so broke I was

disappointed myself as well because I had always heard that I would go to college

and graduate and then I would be like rich and it didn't really work out that way like I mean there was no one on the other side of the

graduation stage handing me a bag of money. It just didn't quite work that way.

You know fast forward. Ten years later and I've got bill collectors calling and living in this little shoe box of a studio apartment that smell like shrimp and

Rotating the same two pair of jeans

It was terrible and I just had this light bulb moment about why I was so broke.

Like I never really had an issue providing service. I was always pretty decent with money. I just couldn't keep it.

And I realized that I didn't want to be one of them.

And who I mean by them is rich people.

I had all these negative ideas in my mind

about rich people.

Like if you had a lot of money, I automatically just didn't like you.

I thought there was something bad about you.

I thought you were miserable.

I thought you were greedy.

I thought you were just this terrible person, right?

And I was like, oh my God, I can't keep money and I don't have as much money

as I want to have and I'm in deep dead right now because I'm afraid of being one of them.

And I think a lot of people are in that very same type of thinking.
