governor of Tennessee and marries into a prominent family. But very quickly, it all goes to pot. He ends up quitting the governorship and leaving as to what happened a reporter says a thousand tales are afloat but

maybe he's rejected by his new wife to be who thought him to be to country for the

family maybe he was a drunk, maybe both. Gives up the

governorship, flees the state, and goes to live with the Cherokee. My God has the

man gone mad? Andrew Jackson says, when he hears about his old friend Sam

Houston and what happened. But Sam Houston gets another chance because Texas, so to

speak, doesn't check references and Houston Restard.

Enough people know that he's good in a fight.

And he's a pretty good leader of people.

And there's going to be trouble with both Indians

and perhaps the Mexican government coming up to this new settlement of Texas.

They're happy to have them. Enough people know he fought with Jackson. They make him
