I get it.

24-year-old Meredith Hope Emerson also fell for the allure of this Appalachian

awesomeness. A long-time hiking enthusiast growing up in Colorado,

she was well equipped to handle all that Blood Mountain could throw at her.

However, on January 1st, 2008, it wasn't just the Black Bear stalking this Blood Mountain.

And as Meredith started out her four mile hike with her

black Labrador Ellie serial killer Gary Michael Hilton hunted for his next prey.
