I'm a grown man who never read the Percy Jackson books as a kid, but I read them as an adult because I was on a quest to determine if this was a book series that society had been sleeping on. I said yes. And now I'm seeing if society has been sleeping on all of the other books in the Ryordanverse spin-off books included. And that is what we are here to discuss with our very special guest, someone who you know you love and I love as well. It's me, the non-titular second newest Olympian because I just read this right before recording.

No, you read it prior.

Well, like three days before recording.

Yeah, it's better than me.

I'm usually reading right up until the Zoom call scheduled.

So that is not a prerequisite, but you have heard the story.

And I'm excited for you to discuss this story because a lot of people are very intrigued by this story.

A lot of people were excited to hear that I was actually going to do it. And a couple of folks specifically who I've done podcasts with were like, hey, are you going to do it? And I did. And they said, oh, I think you're going to like it. And it was very interesting. Oh, how are the other stories in the book? Should I go back and read them? I would recommend them. One is like a Luke prequel thing about his time with Thalia and Annabeth.

One is a Leo, Jason, and Piper story that takes place before they come around in the mark

of Athena. I don't know exactly timeline-wise, but it's basically in between books one and three

at some point. And then there's a Percy and Annabeth story,

like a cute little like rom-comy kind of thing that took place one month after their first kiss

when they started dating. Cute. Yeah. So those are definitely more traditional. And then this one's
