Welcome to Among the Lillies. This is a show for ladies who are tired of pretending

and are ready to be real. I'm your host, Cameron Frad, and in today's episode, I'm going

to chat with you about communication, telling people what you need. So for example, right

now, I just sat down to record this podcast and I told my husband, I haven't even had

coffee yet. I'm not functioning. So I told him, I need coffee. So he said, I'll go make

you an espresso. So in a little bit, you'll see me getting an espresso. I'm really excited.

This morning, my husband was so lovely. We had a late night last night. Our kids have

half a day of school today. We've had kids that have kind of been sick on and off all

a week. My daughter ended up with a group. I didn't know that a nine-year-old could

get a group. But I was going to Cleveland Clinic for some doctor's appointments and medical

stuff. And so praise God. We were only five minutes from the hospital. But she was having

trouble breathing and all she could get out. I feel like in moments like that, you know,

like I need to communicate directly right now. And I need to tell someone what I need.

And she barely got it. She's like, I can't breathe. No. In like I could tell, she couldn't

breathe. But she got that little bit out. And then she said, die, dying, dying. So that

really hurt this mom's heart. And I was like, oh my goodness, my sweet little girl thinks

she's dying. And she can't breathe. And so I did different things to try to like intervene,

try to help her. And I'm like, I just need to take her to the hospital. So we rushed

into the hospital. And I parked my car. I think my engine may have still been running.

I jumped out with both my girls and told there's like a security. There's like, you're

supposed, there's a protocol. You're supposed to get in line. You're supposed to go through

the security. You're supposed to, you know, get your scan to make sure you don't have
