Summary

As the show hits yet another milestone number, what better way to celebrate than with the one, the only Uncle Sal! And this time Sal comes with purpose and with drive, specifically a Kickstarter drive, for his new graphic novel, The Hostage. We discuss that and, as usual, so much more, including what it takes to make it in the industry as an independent creator, the state of the comic book industry and of comic book conventions, the bodily hygiene of teenagers, etcetera etcetera. Finally, a reminder that this one is not for the kiddies, so wear headphones where needed. And before the show comes to a close, we squeak in a Muddle the Murd, like we do. (2:09:10)

As we were saying, this episode of Comickeke speakak is brought to you by the collection drawer company, makers of drawer boxes, the easy access storage solution for your comic collection

1:53.8

and anything else you happen to have lying about that you need to store and access easily.

1:58.2

And that easy access is by virtue of the drawer box structure, which consists

2:02.9

of two handy-dandy reinforced cardboard shells that fit one inside the other, and the inner shell

2:08.8

pulls out of the outer like a drawer. There's no lid to lift off the top. So you can stack those

2:13.6

2:18.3

and you don't have to disassemble that stack to get at the comics on the bottom because there's no lid to lift off the top.
