Manduqy Upanishad is embedded in a larger text called the Mandukya Karika.

The Upanishad belongs to the Vedas of course, the Atharva Vedha, but the Karika was composed by Gaudhāya,

who is Shankaracharya's teacher's teacher. Karika are the commentary in verse form.

Now, this commentary in verse form is divided into four chapters.

We have completed the first chapter.

The first chapter includes the entire Mandukyopanishad.
