all of you and hopefully me

excited about the great wide world of fantasy football slash soccer. It's Graham Ruffin. Hello,

Graham. Hello, Taylor Rockwell. How are you? Yeah, people famously love hearing other people

talk about their fantasy teams. So we're going to do a whole episode on that very subject today. Is that

right?

Yeah, it's like what? Traffic, weather, your medical health, and your bad fantasy football beats,

and bad poker beats. No one really wants to hear about them ever. But fantasy football on the American football side is obviously a massive industry. There are many, many, many columns spent, much time spent recording podcasts

about fantasy football and who to draft and who to pick up and all that good stuff.

I am sure that exists to some extent when it comes to fantasy soccer slash fantasy football,

but it seems less common gram because in my mind I'm jumping right in. Fantasy soccer sort of feels like a

less, to some extent, figured out thing than American football. And I don't think that's the case.

I think maybe I'm just coming at this from an outsider. But I'm excited to find out how I'm wrong

or how it's better than I think it is, Graham. No pressure at all for you. So I think you're right

on one thing and wrong on another thing, right? So what you are right

with is I do think the fantasy concept, which is we should probably outline what for anyone

who doesn't know what that is. So fantasy football is a game where you build an imaginary

team of players on an app or a website using real-life players and then you are scored based on what

happens in the matches that those players play in. So it's a really effective way for fans to feel

engaged in what's happening in a league or a competition and people do get obsessive about it. So

I do agree with you. I think the biggest flaw with fantasy football, fantasy soccer, I should say

in this aspect, is the scoring system,
