Hey, there is some big news right now happening for Amazon sellers. Now, 99% of the population that's reading the articles related to this are thinking,

wow, that's bad news.

Wow, that's going to shake things up.

Wow, that's horrible for vendors.

For us, as sellers, for those of us who are confident and comfortable with selling on

Amazon, which is what

this show is about 90% of the time, how to sell stuff on Amazon, this is a huge opportunity

for us. And if you don't know what I'm talking about, of course, it's the, as I'm recording

this, we're in March 2019, mid-March. And there's just been an announcement made by Amazon that they are moving

away from buying directly from vendors. Well, what does that mean, Jim? I don't understand.

What do you mean buying? Well, for a very long time, you've probably heard stories pop up if you've

been selling on Amazon for a while

where you find a great product. Maybe you introduce it to the Amazon marketplace. You know,

it's some new dog leash product, let's say, and you discover, wow, this isn't on Amazon yet.

So you buy a bunch and you put it on Amazon and it's selling well and you're making a profit.

Then the next thing you know, Amazon itself seems to be looking at the data and saying,

hmm, that dog collar is selling really well. I think we'll go place an even bigger order and

compete with the third party seller community. Well, that's you and me, third party sellers.

Well, they're getting out of that game. They're dropping tens of thousands, if not more, vendors, and they're no longer

buying direct. See, Brett and I were in Seattle not too long ago, speaking with someone that I'm not
