Summary

As you know, we (The Brothers Moriarty) grew up on Long Island, nestled between the water and the woods. It's the latter that we thought we'd focus this particular episode on. We absolutely adore the woods. Playing, hiking, exploring. We basically lived amongst the trees as children! Thus, we thought it would be fun to regale you with some stories of our past being in the woods: Boy Scouts, mountain biking, BMXing, and running away from fictional foes. Discovering new things, using our imaginations, getting to know ourselves and others... and maybe catching some poison ivy, too. Are you an arborist like we are? Only one way to find out. them, which is part of the sopranos season. I don't know what season that is, but remember where

0:40.5

the whole thing with the Italians versus the Native Americans. Yeah, yeah. The whole of Columbus

0:45.4

day, right? Right. That's right. That's the whole thing. The whole issue over Columbus day and

but it's it's spawned by that. There's something about that commercial, right? Yeah, Ralfi

0:53.7

is watching. Oh, Ralfi meets with them and he's like, this is your poster child. He wasn't really

0:58.0

Native American. Ralfi is awesome. I love the sprangles. That's a good, that's a good,

1:05.5

a good, a good, how's your life? How's everything going in your world? Everything's good. I wanted

1:09.1

to get your advice on something. Oh, please. As a new homeowner, you may be able to speak to this.

1:14.6

Now, well, to go back, as you know, historically, our dad would always sort of grease the palms

1:23.6

of the garbage man of the sanitation guys to basically saying, especially around Christmas time,

1:29.4

like drop an envelope and say, look, maybe $100 a piece or something, basically saying that there

1:35.1

was an understanding, like, I give you this, this money changes hands and you take whatever I put

1:39.7

out here, right? This whole thing, right? And I was always fascinated by it because there was never

1:45.8

a discussion. There was never any kind of dialogue, which is some kind of, this is some kind of

1:49.6

ancient suburban understanding. That's awesome. Yeah, that's great. So I've never done that. I've

1:55.6

never done it with the, with the sanitation guys, but I always think about it around the holidays,
